100 Prophecies of God

The Christian Holy Bible contains hundreds of prophecies of God.  Prophecies that not only prove God exists, they also prove that since the beginning of Creation, the history of humankind has been unfolding according to the predetermined plan and purpose of God. 

In my book Evidence for God, I have listed  100 prophecies of God. But here I will share with you just three prophecies of God. Prophecies that would have been impossible to have inserted in the scriptures after the event had been fulfilled.

The first prophecy was given by God in c1,400 BC (BCE). and fulfilled 1,400 years later.  Most people who don't believe in God, would say it is impossible for this to happen, and the prophecy must therefore have been added after the prophecy was fulfilled.

Well, take a look at this prophecy, and do your research!  I am confident you will find it is a genuine prophecy of God.

The picture on the left is of Moses holding the Ten Commandments written on stone tablets. You can read about Moses and the Ten Commandments in the Holy Bible.  It is in Exodus chapter 20 and in Deuteronomy chapter 5.

Towards the end of Moses life, God gives Moses a prophecy .  God Tells Moses -

 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. 19 It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.  Deuteronomy 18:18-19.

What this means is that in the future, God will raise up another leader who will be like Moses.  This leader will speak in the name of God, and whoever will not listen to him, then god will require his life.  But God is not speaking of the physical death that everyone goes through, God is speaking of the second death of hell to those who are disobedient to God.

Now, that is fairly easy for anyone to understand.

And Moses wrote this conversation in the book of Deuteronomy c 1,400 B.C.

Now, if from the starting point in history, we go back to 1,400 B.C. to our present day, then that covers some 3,400 years.  And if we look through 1,400 years of history there is only one person that could have fulfilled that prophecy of God.  And that person is Jesus Christ.

In the book - Evidence for God, I have listed some 30 ways in which Moses and Jesus were alike. Also, there are many other prophecies concerning Jesus Christ's birth, life, ministry, crucifixion, death and resurrection (being raised to life again). Prophecies that were recorded in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible between 400 and 1,400 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.

So, from all the prophecies given by God in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, we know for sure the only person in the history of the world who could have been considered like Moses was Jesus Christ.

So, the only way for the prophecies to have been false is if someone could have added all the prophecies that spoke about Jesus Christ into the Writings of the Old Testament scriptures of the Jews.

Well, the Jews had a meticulous system for duplicating pages and books from the Old Testament to make sure each new copy was a precise copy of the original.

Then we have the fact that the leaders of the Jews had Jesus Christ crucified to death by the Roman government. So it would be more likely turkeys would be voting for Christmas than the Jews change anything in their scriptures that would make Jesus Christ appear to be one like Moses, the chosen one of God.  Because to do so they would be admitting they had knowingly crucified the Son of God, and the people would have killed them!

Also, due to archaeological research and the discovery of Old Testament scriptures dating hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus Christ, and not showing any difference in the writings. to the modern-day copies on sale in the bookshops.  We can be confident the prophecies have not been added to the Old Testament scriptures after the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

Which can mean only one thing.  God does exist, and the prophecies of God not only prove God exists, but also prove that since the beginning of Creation the history of humankind has been unfolding according to the predetermined plan and purpose of God.

The Holy Bible tells us -

That God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish in the second death, but have eternal life.  John 14:6.

Remember what God told Moses, that the one like Moses (Jesus Christ) would speak in the name of God, but whoever would not listen to Jesus Christ, God would require his life (in the second death of hell).

Here is the second Prophecy of God.  

We are now going to look at a prophecy of God delivered some 2,600 years ago and fulfilled in modern history!

In the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, there is a book called Daniel. Daniel lived in Jerusalem, Israel until around 580 -600 B.C. (2,600 years ago), when the Babylonians invaded and took the Jews into slavery in Babylon. 

Eventually, the Jews returned to Jerusalem, but were eventually occupied by the Roman Empire until an uprising of the Jews in AD 70. When a million Jews were killed, fled for their lives or were taken into slavery. The Romans were so annoyed at the Jews that they removed the land of Judah and Israel from all maps and renamed the area Palestine.

At the very end of the book of Daniel chapter 12 verse 12, Daniel receives a prophecy of God, delivered by an angel.

Happy are those who remain faithful until 1,335 days are over. Daniel 12:12.

In Biblical Prophecy, each day represents a year, but at that time the Jews counted their years in the following way – In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. Daniel 1:1

So, Daniel would not have had any idea when the prophecy would have been fulfilled.

In the Christian Calander the year 1335 didn’t have anything significant for the Jews or Jerusalem. But, in the year 1917 there was something very significant for the Jews and Jerusalem.

By the year 1917 the Jews as a nation had been cast out of Jerusalem by the Romans for around 2,000 years, and the land was occupied by the Ottoman Empire (Turkish Empire).

But during the First World War, Britain was fighting against Germany and also Turkey, and with Britain considering the end of the war, they were favourable in helping the Jews return to their homeland and become a nation once again.

On the 2nd of November 1917 the British government issued a statement in support of the establishment in Palestine (Israel), of a national home for the Jewish people. It was known as the Balfour Declaration. But, the Ottoman/Turks were still in control over Palestine.

Then on December 11th 1917 British forces led by General Edmund Allenby entered Jerusalem without a shot being fired. As the previous day the Ottoman/Turkish soldiers had fled the city. Britain was now in control over Palestine and now in a position to honour its support for the Jews returning to Jerusalem.

At that time the newspaper in Jerusalem was printed on one side Arabic for the Ottoman/Turks and Arab people, and on the other side of the paper it was printed in English.

At the top of the newspaper printed in English it had the Christian calendar year of 1917, and on the other side, printed in Arabic it had the year according to the Muslim calendar year of 1335.

And so, the prophecy of God had been fulfilled to the very year of 1335 after 2,600 years!

Considering this prophecy had been fulfilled just over 100 years ago, and knowing this prophecy has been in the scriptures going back over 2,00 years. This means it would have been impossible for this prophecy to have been added to the scriptures after the event.

It is easy to see how the prophecies of God prove God exists, and that they also prove since the beginning of Creation, the history of humankind has been unfolding according to the predetermined plan and purpose of God.

Now for our third Prophecy of God.

Here is a prophecy given by God some 2,500 years ago, and could be fulfilled in our lifetime!

You can find it in the Old Testament book of Zechariah chapter 12 verses 2-4.

2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and it will also be on Judah in the siege against Jerusalem. 3 It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it. 4 In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. Zechariah 12:2-4

Ever since the Nation of Israel was formed on the 14th of May 1948 there have been neighbouring Arab people and nations trying to destroy the Nation of Israel and its people the Jews. You can read the history of the land and see for yourself that it is true.

Prior to the 14th of May 1948 and going back 2,000 years to the time the Roman Army killed a million Jews, took everyone into slavery and removed the name of Israel and Judah off their maps renaming the area Palestine. This prophecy was given 500 years before the Romans wiped the Jews out of their land.

Since 2,500 years ago when God gave the prophecy, the prophecy couldn't have been fulfilled, until now!

The prophecy tells us, in verse two, that Jerusalem will be attacked by the surrounding peoples (nations), which has been happening in the past since 1948. But in verse three, it says and all the nations of the world will be gathered against it (Jerusalem).

When I first read that scripture back in the 1990’s It seemed it would be impossible for all the nations of the world to be gathered against the Jews and Jerusalem. But now at the time of writing about this prophecy in late 2024. Over the past year, there has been international condemnation against Israel, for their war against those who pursued military aggression against the Jews, Jerusalem and the land of Israel.

This condemnation comes from the Arab Nations and the United Nations, calling for Israel to stop the war against their enemies. Israel continues to ignore the condemnation of the nations of the world, and as a result, there is a growing antisemitism against the Jews. It is now possible to see that it could be the nations of the world who will come together in military action against the Jews, Jerusalem and Israel, and force them to accept the ruling over them to end the war.

It is this situation (the nations of the world taking joint military action against Israel) that would most likely bring the world to the end-times, the Battle of Armageddon and the return of Jesus Christ in great power and glory.

Just as all the prophecies of God, have been fulfilled. They have been fulfilled exactly as God prophesied. 

The prophecy of the surrounding nations and all the nations of the world who will come against Jerusalem and the Jews. It is not a case of if it will happen, it is when it will happen, and it could happen very soon. Just keep watching the news on TV about Israel and Palestine, because the situation between them is like waiting for a big atomic bomb to explode.
