Angry With GOD?

Are You Angry With GOD?

A lady came to our Listening to God meeting, who I had never seen before and didn’t know anything about her. So I asked God, what did He want to show me for her. I closed my eyes and God gave me a vision, it was like watching a video.

I then asked her if she was angry with God. She looked shocked, and said “No”. So I told her that when I asked God to show me something for her, God gave me a vision of my being high above the white clouds looking down on them.

Then a small hole appeared, and up came a hand and an arm, and the hand was in a fist, and the arm was shaking the fist, shaking it as though it was angry with God.

And the reason I asked if you are angry with God, is because it was your arm and your fist you were shaking in anger against God. So, are you angry with God?

It turned out that she was very angry with God, but no one knew this but herself. And so she was shocked that God could reveal that to me.

When she shared the reason for her anger, I was able to offer her some advice. But the most important thing was that I could assure her that even though she was angry with God, God still loved and cared about her.

A few years later I met her again when she told me when she first came to our listening to God meeting she was a member of a different religion, and doubted that God existed. She only came to the meeting because her friend invited her.

But she said when God told me about her anger with God, she knew only god could have told me this. And since then, she attended an Alpha course to learn more about Jesus Christ, and began to witness and experience the love, joy, peace, power and presence of Jesus Christ in her life. Now she knew for sure God is real, and is no longer angry with God, in fact she loves Jesus with all her heart.

Sadly, the reason so many people feel angry with God, is because they have been living their life separated from the love, joy, peace, power and presence of God through Jesus Christ.

The Christian Bible makes it quite clear that our life is very short on Earth in comparison with eternal life in Heaven. And the reason for this is because our life on Earth, is simply the preparation for our eternal life in heaven – for those who want it and who qualify.

This is why I wrote the book – Evidence for God: Prophecies, Miracles and The Power of God. So that you can know for sure the reality of God and experience the love of God in your life.

Jesus Christ is the answer to the problem

But let me say this: I am so deeply sorry for the pain you are walking through right now. Grief is heavy, and when it touches someone we love so dearly, it can feel unbearable. God never looks lightly on your tears—“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). He knows the ache in your soul, and He cares for you more than you can imagine.

It’s natural in times like this to feel anger—even toward God. You wonder, “Why didn’t You stop this? Why did You allow it?” Even people in the Bible cried out with those same questions. Job lost his children, his health, and nearly everything he had, yet he poured out his pain to God. The Psalms are full of cries like, “How long, O Lord?”(Psalm 13:1). God is not offended by your honesty—He invites you to bring your anger and sorrow to Him.

But here is what I want you to hear clearly: God did not create death. Death entered this world because of sin (Romans 5:12). It was never His original design for us. And that is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ—to conquer death, to break its power, and to give us hope that death does not have the final word.

Jesus Himself stood at the grave of His friend Lazarus. He wept. He felt the sting of grief just like you do (John 11:35). But then He said these words: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die” (John 11:25–26).

That is God’s promise. Death is not the end for those who belong to Christ.

You may feel like your loved one was taken from you, but in Christ there is the assurance of reunion. If your loved one trusted in Jesus, then today they are with Him in His presence (2 Corinthians 5:8). And the only way you can be certain of seeing them again is to make sure your own life is secure in Jesus.

The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). That promise is for you, right now. Salvation is not about religion—it’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ. When you surrender your life to Him, He not only forgives your sins and gives you eternal life, but He also begins to heal your broken heart with His peace and His presence.

My friend, you are hurting, but you are not without hope. God loves you so much that He gave His Son for you (John 3:16). If you will turn to Christ today, you can have the assurance that one day, when your time comes, you will step into His presence—and see your loved one again.

A New Life with Jesus Christ

Would you be willing to pray a simple prayer of faith, even through your tears? You can pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I don’t understand all that has happened, and my heart is broken. But I believe You died for me, and that You rose again. I ask You to forgive my sins. Come into my life as my Lord and Savior. I put my trust in You today. Heal my heart, and give me the hope of eternal life with You. Amen.”

If you mean that with all your heart, God promises He will save you (John 6:37).

You may not have all the answers to your “why” questions right now, but in Christ, you have the answer to the deepest need of your soul—peace with God, and the hope of eternal life.

That’s wonderful, my friend. You’ve just taken the most important step you could ever take—trusting in Jesus Christ. Now let me walk with you through what it means to grow in this new relationship with Him. Think of it like beginning a journey with your Saviour by your side.

The Power of Forgiveness

1. Be assured of your salvation.

Salvation is not about feelings, it’s about God’s promise. If you prayed sincerely, God has saved you.

  • “Everyone      who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”     (Romans 10:13).
When doubts come—and they will—remember that your salvation is secure      because of Christ’s finished work on the cross, not your efforts.

2. Read God’s Word daily.

The Bible is God’s love letter to you. Begin with the Gospel of John—it reveals who Jesus is and how much He loves you.

  • “Your      word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”     (Psalm 119:105).

As you read, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. Even just a chapter a day will feed your soul.

3. Talk to God in prayer.

Prayer is simply talking with your Father. You don’t need fancy words—just honesty. Share your hurts, your questions, and your gratitude.

  • “Cast      all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1      Peter 5:7).

You will find that prayer brings comfort and peace to your grieving heart.

4. Connect with other believers.

God never meant for us to walk this journey alone. Find a Bible-believing church where Christ is honored and Scripture is taught. Fellowship with others will strengthen you and help you grow.

  • “And      let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…      encouraging one another” (Hebrews 10:24–25).

5. Let God heal your broken heart.

Grief does not disappear overnight. But Jesus promised, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted”(Matthew 5:4).
As you walk with Him, He will bring healing in His time. Your tears matter to Him (Psalm 56:8).

6. Live with hope.

Because of Jesus, death is not the end. The day will come when He will wipe every tear from our eyes (Revelation 21:4). You now have the promise of eternal life, and the assurance that you will see your loved one again if they too trusted in Christ.

Friend, I encourage you to take one step at a time. Don’t rush through your grief—God will walk with you through it. But also don’t let grief steal your hope, because in Jesus you now have eternal life.
