In February 2022 most of the 2226 graves were covered in thick brambles, shrubs and tall weeds. Most of the headstones were invisible, and most of the grave inaccessible . But thanks to a team of volunteers from the church and community, supported by the ladies who made the homemade soup, tea and coffee. Every Saturday morning the team came together to clear the graveyard.
This photo was taken in April 2025. Now, thanks to the team of volunteers, we can see every grave, and visitors have access to every grave.
